Today I am writing because I am just so enamored with the beauty that God has created for us. It has been a very long time since I just appreciated the beauty in everything. Today I just embraced all situations and took it all in.
No plan. No maps. No GPS.
Just go north.
We decided to take the short hike (about a mile, I think) to the overlook. It was pretty cloudy but it had been all day so we decided to risk it. We go ALMOST there and the bottom fell out. A thunder storm rolled in out of nowhere and here I was a mile in the woods, in flip-flops, with a 3 year old… also in flip flops. But, God provided. Right before it got bad we came upon a big rock (cave like) shelter .
It was thrilling. Grey was excited at the new experience…. Not too happy about the Granddaddy Long Legs that decided to ride out the storm with us. We made sure that we thanked God for our rock, the rain, the storm, the mountain… any and everything that we could think of. Then we laughed. The splashed around in the rain that had seeped under the rock with us. I love that child more and more every day. It STILL astounds me how much you can love one person.
