I thought that I would just take a few minutes to give you all my personal reviews on some of the gluten free foods that I have tried. I hope that you find these reviews helpful. I am not sponsored or endorsed by any of these companies so my opinion is purely my own. So here are 5 of my recent gluten free indulgences, pretty good experiences overall…. But you know there is always that one exception.
I have suspected that I had gluten intolerance for some time now as removing most of it from my diet seemed to make a majority of my pain dissipate. I had a doctor’s appointment this week, first one in a very long time, which I wasn’t really looking forward to. After discussing all of the symptoms that I have been dealing with for well over a year I was told the one thing I really did not want to hear. “I am pretty sure you have celiac, Mrs. [----]”. I stared blankly at the woman for a good 2 minutes before I could gather my thoughts to speak, unfortunately the only thing I could get to come out of my mouth was “Wait…what?”.
Even going into my doctor’s appointment with the knowledge that there was at least a 75% chance I had gluten intolerance did not make the diagnoses any less shocking. It is one thing to be told that you have to avoid certain foods because they might make you feel bad, but being told you have to eliminate something from your diet entirely because it is slowly (but surely) killing you is totally different. It kinda really hits you the wrong way.
